Welcome to the website of Doris & Company Theatrical Group! Doris & Company promotes the use of various art forms in order to spread the Good News that Jesus Christ can and will change lives!

Our Mission

We are a Christian organization whose goal is to equip and mobilize Believers to share Christ with the world.

We are convinced that Jesus Christ is the only avenue to total freedom and victory from the generational strongholds of addiction, domestic violence, crime, poverty, and all the problems attached to these issues.

We use the arts as the means of spreading this message of freedom and victory in Jesus.

Doris Lewis-Monk

Owner / Writer / Director

Doris Lewis-Monk has been following the Lord for over 30 years. She started out writing and directing plays in her fathers church as a teenager. After accepting the Lord, she re-dedicated her life to outreach ministry utilizing her talents for writing, acting and directing. Doris feels that these talents are her God given means to reach out to those who are plagued by drugs, alcohol, crime, disease, prostitution, homelessness, etc. As a laborer in the vineyard, and a student of the Word of God, Doris realizes that the harvest is great but the laborers are few. Therefore, her talents are also used to teach those who already know the Lord, how to reach out beyond the doors of the church to the lost. Doris is married to Conley Monk II, Head of Security for Doris & Company, and they have six children and a host of grandchildren.

About

Doris & Company Theatrical Group started in Rocky Mount, NC. It was birthed from a family situation that needed and received deliverance and healing from the Lord, Jesus Christ. Founder and director, Doris Lewis-Monk, had always found peace from writing plays, poems, and short stories.Because of her determination, writing has moved from being an avenue of peace and deliverance for her, to being an equipping tool she can use to help others. After many church productions of her plays, the Lord led Doris back home to Connecticut where she expanded her vision. It's Time To Make A Change was her first production here in Connecticut, and a great success. On October 22, 2005, Doris & Company did their premier showing of a new play titled The Curse Stops Here. October 22nd was an evening of dinner, theater, dancing, singing, learning, growing, and praising the Lord. Since then, Doris & Company has put on the following stage plays and theatrical productions: Looking for a Saved Man Working.Com, Somebody Said There Would be Days Like This, It's Time to Make a Change 2010, Me & Mrs. Jones, Church Dinners, & Who Did It, Sons of Thunder, & Reflecting Back 12 Years?
